Sultan of Selangor (سلطان سلاڠور) is the title of the constitutional ruler of Selangor, Malaysia who is the head of state and Islamic religion in Selangor. H.R.H. Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the current monarch, ascended to the throne on November 22, 2001, following the passing of his father.
